*Please share* Brent, our grape guy, has lost his dog Stella. She’s a lab cross with a big bark but is super friendly.
Last seen this morning somewhere between Te Mata Road, in the Blackbarn and Te Mata Estate area, and our vineyard at the back of Tukituki Road. She possibly jumped ship somewhere on Lawn Road. Please share this around and let us know below if you see her. Many thanks. ... See MoreSee Less
We survived. Woah what a weekend - Hawke's Bay sure laid it on for its birthday! Thank you to all who came out over the long weekend, we really appreciate you popping by and chilling with us.
And huge thanks to all or wonderful TA peeps who ran from sun up to sun down (well, pretty much) sorting wine tastings and tasty morsels for all, especially Loma in the kitchen and Sally out front. Many thanks. Now for a cup of tea, a piece of cake and a little lie-down....you've earnt it. ... See MoreSee Less
Morning snuggle. While we basked today, the grapes hunkered down under an icy blanket this morning out at our Two Gates vineyard, all the while under the watchful gaze of our Grape Keeper, Brent. Thanks Brent. ... See MoreSee Less
Summer slide. Here's how our Cellar Door menu looks at the moment. You'll please note that it's written on rolly paper...which means it does move with the seasons and what's on offer in the market. Added to this are usually 2-3 daily specials depending on how Loma's feeling!
You know, we just don't like to be hemmed in!
ps. might I suggest once again that if you plan on coming out over Labour Weekend that you make a booking? Certainly not wanting to hem you in...but don't' want you to miss out! ... See MoreSee Less
Chill like Cricket. If you're after a cruisy time this long weekend, then head on out our way as we're open all long weekend, that's Thursday-Monday, 11am-5pm.
Notoriously a fabulously busy and bustling weekend, it might pay to book a table for lunch if you are after a nibble from Loma's world-famous-in-Te Awanga menu...Saturday is already looking a little tight.
Clone Wars Win. A wonderful win for us last night at the NZ International Wine Show when our One Off Clone Wars 2017 Chardonnay took out the inaugural award for best label design. We put a lot of toil and thought into all our labels so it is fab to see it paying off.
Thanks to Max Parkes from Unit Design in Hastings for all the hard work, and for putting up with our many whims and crazy thoughts!
If you snaffled one of these beauties, bravo you...you obviously have superb taste! (but we already knew that.) ... See MoreSee Less
