This time of year is just my favorite, The Bay is truly glorious in May!

Neighbourhood love.
Our lovely neighbours at Elephant Hill are throwing a little party tomorrow for a couple of thousand sweaty, probably smelly peeps! And although you’ll be able to find us at the Hawkes Bay Marathon finish line for a glass of wine, we’ll also be open all day up on the hill at the Cellar Door. Just note, Clifton Road will be Closed to all traffic, which means you can get the mainline direct to us on Parkhill Road...too easy. And FAR less sweat! And Lycra.

And good luck to all who are running tomorrow, especially our two competition winners Becca and Pauline. Bravo you good things!!

Fiano.
It's an Italian grape grown mainly in Campania and Sicily, except for ours which comes from Bridge Pa, not quite so Italian. And although I haven't tried it yet, as a rule of thumb, pretty much anything from Italy is just fine by me!

Anyway, Sally from the Cellar Door says it's all good. A little bit Pinot Gris and a little bit Viognier. If that sounds a little bit like you, we have approximately 130 bottles out at the Cellar Door all hand labeled by our kids...and as a One Off when that lot's gone, there'll be no more. It'll be finito Fiano!!! (teheheh)
