The Boil Up Hawke's Bay groove collective ‘The Boil Up’ returns to the stage on Sunday the 16th December for another Te Awanga Estate Sunday Session. The Boil Up is comprised of several well known and accomplished Hawke’s Bay musicians who enjoy playing an eclectic mix of funk, soul, reggae, boogie and so much more. A group that is fluid in its components means that the music is always seasoned slightly different. With each member freely contributing their own unique style, the result is a vibe that is personal, honest and perfect for a Sunday afternoon in the sun at Te Awanga Estate. ... See MoreSee Less

We would be keen
Christmas is coming! How could you miss it....?! Sometimes it all feels just a little too cray-cray for our liking, so pop out to the Cellar Door for some pre-Christmas time out...and not a red and white Santa nor a piece of tinsel in sight.
Here's what we do have that's (kind of) Christmas-y: Wine with cool labels, wine that tastes good, small gifts, two packs of wine, three packs of wine, gift vouchers, rosemary + dried flower wreaths, small tinkly bells in rows, white hydrangeas, more rosemary, chocolate kisses.
Here's what we have that's not (necessarily) Christmas-y: Wine with cool labels, wine that tastes good, all-day grazing, beaut views, cool photos, nice people, a crazy boarder terrier, outside tables with umbrellas, non-Christmas music, the Sunday Sesh this Sunday. ... See MoreSee Less
Hanging out... ...for the Sunday Session ☀️! Yes, our second-first Sunday Session is on this weekend...Sunday in fact...join us for the amazing sounds of The Boil Up. Honestly, I think we could all do with some chill time on the hill before it goes totes Chrissy cray cray! ... See MoreSee Less
Maybe a few more umbrellas or a shade sail outside too ..... promise we’ll buy more wine to help fund it!
Had a great Saturday afternoon in the sun, drinking rose and eating platters and pizzas at your place! Thanks team Te Awanga!
Give Alpha Domas their picking box back. 🤪👍🍷🇳🇿
Do some good. As well as lovely wine, delicious food and the nicest TA people there to help you, we also have some cool bits and bobs up at the Cellar Door...like these glass bead bracelets from our lovely friend Sarah at Flower + Willow World. These ethnically sourced treasures not only provide employment for a network of female artists in Nepal, but for each one purchased Sarah donates 15% of the profit to local organisations supporting women and families affected by perinatal anxiety and depression. We love Sarah.
Summer trio. Y’all probably know Ms Sally in the middle who rules our Cellar Door, but joining her for the summer crazy are Rachel on the left and Sammi on the right. Cos three talking the TA talk is defo better than one! Pop out soon and say hi. Tell them I sent you. ... See MoreSee Less

Have a great summer! 🤩🤩🤩
Fab photos. The Dinner Party photos hanging in large-form out at the Cellar Door just in time for summer. Yep, still love them. Thanks Heather Liddell Photographer for the smooth photo skills. And thanks Fotoshoot for printing them, that matte paper is the best. ... See MoreSee Less
She's here! The latest in our summer release One Offs is the Double Happy 2018 Chardonnay Viognier. Double the grape, double the happy!
As the back label says: "We're bringing Viognier back! As a card-carrying member of the Viognier fan club, we've blended the rather less-well-known grape with its more popular dance party cousin, Chardonnay.
The result is a wine with toasty, mineral, flintiness of our tried and true Hawke's Bay Chardonnay, spiced up a smidge with the more exotic apricot, loquat and honeysuckle of Viognier. Trust us, it's a real cracker!"
Now on the website and out at the Cellar Door for your summer pleasure and trust me when I say our Chardys never stay around for long (believe me I find it hard to get them!!)...especially the One Off. ... See MoreSee Less
