While most of us will be having a little lie in on Saturday morn, many of the good running folk of New Zealand will be hitting the paths for the Hawkes Bay Marathon Go you good things! It finishes at Elephant Hill which means Clifton Road will be closed to through traffic and our driveway will become something of a SH1 diversion route for the day...carefully monitored by traffic management.
If you’re coming to visit us, Parkhill Road, as always, is the place to be.
Slow down and take it easy ya’ll. We’d appreciate it. Unless you’re running, then go hard and fast, of course!!

History of Rod.
A potted history of Rod from our wine rack at home. (what’s a gal to do on a rainy day?!)
Left to right.
1. From his Lincoln studies in 1997, lord knows what’s in there and how it’s faring!
2. RM was made winemaker at Vidal in 1998. Vidal Estate Reserve 1998 Cab Sauv Merlot.
3. He had some success with this wee brand. Vidal Estate 2004 Soler Syrah.
4. Left Vidal in 2006, started No.8 Wines, contract winemaker, among other things. No.8 Wines 2007 Syrah.
5. 2016 Te Awanga Estate was rebranded and due to some TM issues, No.8 became Trademark (see what we did there?!). Had some success with this wee wine too - Trademark 2016 Syrah.
6. Syrah and other deliciousness carry on at Te Awanga Estate....
Life is but a potpourri of wine in our house!
Nb. I take no responsibility for the 💯 accuracy of these historical references.
PS. No Quarter Acre in this photo, cos I always drink it! ... See MoreSee Less

Bring it on! 🥰
Can’t wait 🍷
We’ve slipped into our winter hours, although strictly speaking it’s still autumn, so you’ll see a little bit less of us, but probably more, actually, as when you are here there’ll be fewer people around. Make sense...?!
Tuesday ~ nope

That time we ran away - pretty much just around the block - and went glamping. Totes recommended. ... See MoreSee Less
I love my mum.
It’s Mother’s Day this weekend. And, I love my mum a lot!, but I’ve gotta be honest, I’ve always been a little ho hum about days like these. Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Himalayan Goat Day....
I don’t know. Just say nice things to your nice people every day. That’s what I think. Don’t wait for a ‘day’ to do it. ... See MoreSee Less
All outta love?
To be honest, I'm a little out of love with FB at the mo. I feel like we're hitting dead air! Not sure what funky algorithms are swirling about out there, but there's a lot of radio silence...
Anyho, here's something I'm defo not out of love with...our delicious and legit Loved Up 2015 Methode Traditionelle. It's like a good looking golden, vanilla, bubbly hug in a bottle! Single bottles available on our website if you want to get one on its way to someone spesh, we'll even write a little love note for you + pop it in the box. x ... See MoreSee Less
Sounds yum!! Totally know what you mean about the radio silence, I’ve been trying to raise the FB profile of a community group I below too and it’s very hit and miss!
You need to speak to Katija Zela Vlatkovich she is the queen of all things FB marketing. She in the Bay in May - I'm seeing this being a wonderful partnership 👏😍
Agree. Maybe time to move on from FB? Maybe time for TT?
My Fav 💜❤️♥️
Facebook was easy to market on. Now not easy to market on. Word of mouth is good. I do work for Te Awanga Estate (fire extinguishers and electrical appliance safety checks) and promote them to all. I promote all my clients verbally and about to do so on my web page Quid pro quo.
