Why would I sign up to Drinkers+Keepers?
We like to think we can take the hassle out of the wine hustle for you by sending you a shipment of wine every three months – thus the decision-making pressure will be all on Rod’s shoulders! Also, we’ll keep you in the know, you’ll get invited to a few shin-digs, you’ll get a 15% discount off wines on our website and at our Cellar Door (excluding Trademark, sorry), you’ll get some free pizza (yes there’s pizza) and generally be snuggled in a warm Te Awanga Estate embrace!
How does Drinkers+Keepers work?
Pick a package to suit you (number 1,2,3 or 4), pick the number of bottles you would like to arrive each time (3,6 or 12), sign up, sit back and await your first shipment direct to your door.
What are the packages on offer?
There’s four to suit:
1. HB High Rollers – A selection of Hawke’s Bay high-rollers, Chardonnay + Syrah.
2. It’s All White – Delectable + differing whites from our ever-increasing range.
3. Reds Rule – If lip-smacking reds are your go-to, then this is for you.
4. Mixed Bag – A little of this and a little of that, red and white, pink and orange…
What does it cost to join Drinkers+Keepers?
There’s no joining fee, you just need to commit to a package of your choice with a minimum of three bottles coming your way every three months.
How do the payments work?
During the sign up process you will be asked to load your credit card, this information is kept by a secure third party. We do not have access to this information.
Regardless of when you sign up, our system will automatically debit your nominated credit card on the first day of the shipment month (1st February, 1st May, 1st August, 1st November), but we’ll always give you the heads up prior to this by email.
When is the cut off date to be included in a shipment?
To be included, you need to have signed up prior to the 1st day of that particular shipment month (shipment months being February, May, August + November) otherwise your first package will be the following shipment month. For example, if you signed up on 6 February, your first payment will come out on 1st May and your first shipment will follow in the second week of May. Please don’t hesitate to email us if you have any questions.
Can I bow out at any time?
Yes. But totally expect some FOMO after that.
Is freight on top of the Drinkers+Keepers package prices?
No. Shipping is included in each package. We thought it a cleaner way to do it.
When are the annual shipment dates?
There are four shipment dates per annum. These will be the second week of February, May, August + November.
Can I pick which wines I would like in each package?
One of the benefits of Drinkers+Keepers is the element of surprise – Rod will pick the packages each shipment and perhaps they will be wines you wouldn’t otherwise try or others you may not have heard of. Roll that dice!
But what if I am "allergic" (a.k.a really dislike) to Sauvignon Blanc?
Well if that’s the case, and we sure hope it isn’t, then you are welcome to sign up, then let us know about your ‘allergies’ and come each shipment, we’ll make sure there’s not a Sauvie in sight. Rest assured, we can always make the Sauvignon Blanc disappear…we know people with the power to do just that!
Can I change my Drinkers+Keepers package and bottle numbers once I have signed up?
Yes, you sure can. Simply by logging in to your Account on our website and going to My Subscription. Otherwise, contact us and we’ll do it for you. Too easy.
Is Drinkers+Keepers open to overseas wine lovers?
Unfortunately, no, not at this stage.
What is a Wine Genie?
That’s a dedicated D+K contact deep within the walls of Te Awanga Estate who is ready and waiting to answer any questions you may have – when’s the next shipment, why didn’t Rod make enough Quarter Acre Chardonnay, what wine goes well with lupin-fed Turkish camel and can you recommend a babysitting service in Hawke’s Bay?!
Why did you call it Drinkers+Keepers?
Well, a person can be a Drinker or a Keeper, a wine can also be thus, and it also reminded us of a band back in the day called Hunters & Collectors. It’s a bit of fun, not too serious, has winey connotations and it allows us a lot of scope to mess around with it!
Will I feel lost and alone if I sign up to Drinkers+Keepers?
We sure hope not. We’re here to keep you in the loop, send you some love and help you with all your wine needs!
Are you a Drinker or a Keeper?
Both. Often at the same time.
