Following hot on the heals of the IWC Best Red Wine of Show trophy-winning success of its older sibling, we release the 2016 vintage of our Quarter Acre Syrah.
Handpicked fruit from our hillside vineyard, the 2016 season was beautifully set up with a calm, hot summer. Destemmed into open top tanks and left to sit for up to ten days until natural fermentation began. Plunged gently at first and then with gusto, then held on skins for 28 days.
Aromas of violets and cassis, the palate is complex and fleshy, with hits of thyme, the darkest of plum and earth. Underlying power and precision – it’s one smooth cat that will serve you well!
