2020 Viognier

The follow up to the award winning 2018 vintage (Hawke’s Bay Champion Premium White Varietals, Hawke’s Bay Wine Awards 2020), the 2020 Viognier is wonderfully aromatic with apricot, orange, ginger and a hint of flint to ground it.  Rich, pure and exotic.  Think Turkish bazaar crossed with a long summer’s Hawke’s Bay day…as card-carrying members of the VFC (Viognier Fan Club), we love it!

• Michael Cooper, 5 stars.  “…slightly smoky bouquet, it is fleshy and sweet-fruited, generous and savoury, with excellent weight, texture and complexity.  Still youthful, it should break into full stride mid-2022+.”
